

Effe - Vertical Batch Freezer
First designed and patented by Otello Cattabriga in 1927, the Effe is the original vertical gelato freezer and remains the benchmark for artisan production.
Equipped with the patented "Stir+Stick" system where the vat itself rotates rather than a paddle. Produces dry, well-textured gelato with minimal physical effort and maximum hygiene. The open-top design lets artisans add ingredients during freezing and puts the production process on display for customers.
Ideal for: Gelato shops, cafes, bakeries, and any front-of-house operation where visible gelato production adds to the customer experience. Also used by artisans who want to control every aspect of the process by hand.
